What Should New Authors Ask Children’s Book Publishers Before Signing? - aimee - 2026-10-01
I'm researching children's book publishers and realizing there are different challenges beyond simply getting a manuscript accepted. How do authors handle questions about illustration rights, age groups, revisions, and changes suggested for younger readers? What should writers ask about ownership and future editions? I'd appreciate honest advice from parents, authors, or illustrators who have experienced difficult decisions during the publishing process.
